Avocado and Crab Nachos

Football season is here! Start the game off with this delicious recipe.


  • 1 tsp. butter
  • 1 tsp. oil
  • 1 can yellow sweet corn
  • 1 tsp. cumin
  • 1 tsp. chili powder
  • 1 lb. jumbo lump crab meat
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 1/3 cup chopped green onions
  • tortilla chips
  • 3/4 cup shredded Cheddar cheese
  • 1 avocado, sliced or cut into chunks
  • 6 slices bacon, crumbled

Preheat oven to 450º.

In a small skillet, melt butter and oil over medium-high heat. Add corn, cumin and chili powder. Cook until the corn turns golden brown, stirring frequently. Add crab meat, sour cream and half the green onions and mix until heated through.

Assemble one layer of chips on a baking sheet covered with aluminum foil. Spoon half of the crab mixture and half of the shredded cheese on top of the chips. Top with another layer of chips, the rest of the crab mixture and the rest of the cheese. Broil for 3 to 5 minutes. Remove from oven and sprinkle with remaining chives, bacon and avocado pieces. Top with salsa and sour cream if desired.
