Bacon and Broccoli Pasta Salad

This tasty pasta salad is quite different from your usual recipe, using grapes, bacon and pecans.

What you’ll need: 

  • 1 cup chopped pecans
  • 1/2 lb. bowtie pasta
  • 1 lb. fresh broccoli, cut into small florets
  • 1 cup mayonnaise
  • 1/3 cup sugar
  • 1/3 cup diced red onion
  • 1/3 cup red wine vinegar
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 2 cups seedless red grapes, halved
  • 8 slices bacon cooked and crumbled

In a skillet, toast pecans until fragrant, about 5 to 7minutes.

Meanwhile, prepare pasta according to package directions; drain.

For the dressing, whisk together mayonnaise, sugar, onion, vinegar and salt in a small bowl. In a large bowl combine broccoli, cooked pasta and grapes. Pour dressing overtop and stir to coat. Cover and chill 3 hours. Stir bacon and pecans into salad just before serving.
