Bacon Beer bread

What’s nice about this bread is that it doesn’t use yeast, making it a very easy dough. It also has beer in it!


  • 3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1 Tbsp. baking powder
  • 12 oz. beer, at room temperature
  • 1 cup sharp Cheddar cheese
  • 2 Tbsp. chopped fresh dill
  • 1 lb. bacon, cooked and crumbled
  • 3 Tbsp. unsalted butter, melted

Preheat oven to 350º.

In a mixing bowl, whisk together flour, sugar, salt and baking powder. Mix in beer, cheese, dill and bacon. Scrape batter into a greased 5 x 9-inch bread pan. Drizzle melted butter overtop.

Bake for 50 to 60 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
