Lean Beef – The amino acid leucine, which is abundant in meats, fish and dairy products can help you slim down while maintaining calorie-burning muscle. Meats are filled with protein to help you lose more weight, more fat, and less muscle mass.

Olive Oil – It contains monosaturated fat, which helps burn calories. Use extra virgin olive oil for your salad, as a bread dip or for sautéing. Oil helps boost metabolism and shed pounds.

Grapefruit – Half a grapefruit before each meal, or three glasses of the juice a day can really help with weight loss. Grapefruits have phytochemicals that help reduce insulin levels which helps the body convert calories to energy instead of fat.

Cinnamon – Sprinkle a little cinnamon on your meals to help control post-meal insulin spikes, which make you feel hungry. A hint of cinnamon can go a long way.
